Association of Hyperadiponectinemia With Severity of Ventricular Dysfunction in Congestive Heart Failure

Abstract

Plasma adiponectin levels increased according to the severity of CHF and, moreover, they correlated with the plasma levels of BNP and TNF-alpha. These results indicate that augmented release of adiponectin is involved in the pathogenesis of CHF and further study is needed to elucidate its exact role.
