Abstract

The eigenfunction expansions of the dyadic Green's functions for a coaxial line have been derived based on the method of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">\bar\bar{G}_{m}</tex> , whereby the irrotational vector wave function <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">\bar{L}</tex> is not needed. A dyadic boundary condition for the discontinuity of the tangential component of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">\bar\bar{G}_{m}</tex> has been used to facilitate the derivation of the expression for the electric dyadic Green's function.
