Synthesis of 14C-indole-3-acetyl-myo-inositol

Abstract

Synthesis of the mixed isomeric 14C-indoleacetyl-myo-inositols from carrier-free β[2-14C]-indoleacetic acid (57.2 mCi/mmole) and inositol via an imidazolide intermediate is described. Radiological decomposition of the indolylic compounds was prevented by the use of a volatile thiol, dithioethane, and anthracene.
