Abstract

This paper presents astrometric data derived from photometric observations of mutual occultations and eclipses of the Galilean satellites in 1973 and 1979 and four Saturnian satellites in 1980. The results augment and revise an earlier compilation inasmuch as the authors have (1) obtained new data, the first by this means in the Saturnian system, (2) used radii measured by Voyager to reduce all light curves, and (3) tabulated heliocentric positions for the mutual eclipses rather than the less well-defined geocentric ones. It is argued that the accuracy approaches 0.01 arcsec. Orbital parameters based on these data are generally in very good agreement with other recent analyses.
