A precise U-Pb age of 2099 ±3 Ma has been determined for cassiterites hosted in granites from the Bushveld Complex. On conventional 207Pb/204Pb-206Pb/204Pb plots, the data for the Indonesian deposits give an age apparently older than that obtained from U-Pb plots, perhaps indicative of inheritance of Pb from an older source.
