Abstract

Preliminary results of this retrospective chart review suggest that adjunctive topiramate may be associated with improvements in children and adolescents hospitalized for an acute manic, mixed, or depressive episode. Randomized and controlled trials with adjunctive topiramate in this population are needed to further explore this observation.
