NADPH oxidase inhibitor, apocynin, restores the impaired endothelial‐dependent and ‐independent responses and scavenges superoxide anion in rats with type 2 diabetes complicated by NO dysfunction

Abstract

Apocynin restores the impairment of endothelial and non-endothelial function in diabetic angiopathy in OLETF without changing plasma glucose and lipid levels. NO and O(2) (-) may play a role in this process by decreasing TNF-alpha levels.
