Syntheses of the com pounds cis-{Pt[P(C 6 H 5 ) 3 ] 2 (2-O 2 N-C 6 H 4 )(X-C 6 H 4 )}(X=4-CH 3 O; 4-CH 3 ; 4-CF 3 ; 4-O 2 N; 2-CH 3 O; 2-CH 3 ; 2-CF 3 ; 2-O 2 N), [Pt(1,2,5,6-η 4 -C0D)(2-O 2 N-C 6 H 4 )(X-C 6 H 4 )](X=4-CH 3 O; 4-CH 3 ; COD= 1,5-cyclooctadiene) and [Pt(1,2,5,6-η 4 -COD)(X-C 6 H 4 )Cl](X= 2-CH 3 O; 2-CH 3 ; 2-CF 3 )are reported
