Nanosecond Gating of Proximity Focused Channel Plate Intensifiers

Abstract

Vidicon coupled, proximity-focused channel plate image intensifiers are currently being gated by 4 nsec FWHM pulses. Resolution achieved is better than 9 line pairs/mm on the intensifier photocathode.
