Increased Prevalence of Familial Autoimmunity in Probands With Pervasive Developmental Disorders

Abstract

Autoimmunity was increased significantly in families with PDD compared with those of healthy and autoimmune control subjects. These preliminary findings warrant additional investigation into immune and autoimmune mechanisms in autism.
