Forty-five patients with low tension glaucoma were compared with 45 ocular hypertensive patients matched for age and sex. The low tension glaucoma group had a significantly higher rate of hemodynamic crises, low systemic blood pressure, and low ophthalmic blood pressure. Progression occurred in fewer than half of the patients with low tension glaucoma.
