Abstract

During the course of our screening program for newantitumor antibiotics, an actinomycete was found that produced two previously unreported antibiotics, which were named anguinomycins A and B. Both of these compounds were highly cytotoxic to murine P388 leukemia cells (IC50 : 0.1 ~0.2 ng/ml) and displayed potent antitumor activity in mice.
