Growth and properties of triglycine sulfate (TGS) crystals: Review

Abstract

Abstract The present status of data on growth and properties of pure and doped single crystals of triglycine sulfate (TGS) is reviewed. The results of growth and characteristics of TGS crystals grown in the low-gravity environment of the space shuttle for infrared detector applications are presented. Applications of crystals in various devices are also described.
