Abstract The known antibiotic Venturicidin A and two new antifungal compounds, Venturicidin B and Botrycidin, have been isolated from a strain of Streptomyces aureofaciens D UGGAR . Venturicidin B gave on methanolysis the methyl glycoside of 2‐deoxy‐ D ‐rhamnose, Venturicidin A the corresponding 3‐O‐carbamate.
