A novel diaza‐crown ether and cryptands from glucopyranose and their complex‐forming properties

Abstract

Abstract Chiral diaza‐crown ether 6 and cryptands of type [2.2.2] ( 9 ), containing one glucopyranoside unit, have been prepared. Two methods are described for the synthesis of 9 . The new cryptand 12 containing two glucopyranoside units has also been prepared. The association constants ( K a ) of these compounds with Li, Na, K and NH 4 cations have been measured.
