Abstract

MMF decreases NCAM receptors, which is associated with enhanced tumor cell invasiveness. The authors conclude that an MMF-based immunosuppressive regimen might increase the risk of tumor metastasis if this process is predominantly conveyed by means of homophilic adhesion proteins.
