Angular Distribution of 24.0- and 27.2-MeV Neutrons Scattered by Protons

Angular distributions for elastic scattering of neutrons by protons were measured with a counter telescope between 71 and 158\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} (c.m.) for neutron energies of 24.0 and 27.2 MeV. The angular distributions agreed with the distributions predicted by Hopkins and Breit. The measured anisotropies, $[\frac{\ensuremath{\sigma}(180\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{})}{\ensuremath{\sigma}(90\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{})}]\ensuremath{-}1$, were 0.135\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.014 and 0.183\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.015 at 24.0 and 27.2 MeV, respectively.
