We report a beam-foil investigation of chlorine, performed with a 5.5 MV Van de Graaff accelerator. Transitions belonging to Cl IV - Cl X were studied in the region 400-6 000 Å. Lifetimes are presented for several excited levels in Cl IV - Cl IX.
