Abstract

Besides the plenty of applications of graphene allotropes in condensed matter\nand nanotechnology, we argue that graphene sheets might be engineered to\nsupport room-temperature topological quantum processing of information. The\nargument is based on the possibility of modeling the monolayer graphene\neffective action by means of a 3d Topological Quantum Field Theory of BF-type\nable to sustain non-Abelian anyon dynamics. This feature is the basic\nrequirement of recently proposed theoretical frameworks for fault-tolerant and\ndecoherence protected quantum computation.\n
