Outcome of surgical treatment of hilar cholangiocarcinoma: a special reference to postoperative morbidity and mortality

Abstract

Aggressive resection for hilar cholangiocarcinoma, performed in accordance with strict management strategy, achieved acceptably low mortality. Prolonged operative time was a risk for morbidity following hepatobiliary resection.
