No significant increases in serum transaminase levels were produced in acute experimental pulmonary infarction. Although significant transaminase levels have been observed in both clinical and experimental acute myocardial infarction, it was found that a minimal myocardial infarction (5 per cent) is associated with greater rises than that found with pulmonary infarction of the order of 45 per cent.
