Abstract ABS/PC blending systems are triple phase mixtures of SAN copolymer, polycarbonate and polybutadiene rubber. In this paper, the solubility parameter approach is used to calculate the optimum volume fractions of acrylonitrile component in the continuous phase of ABS, at which the best solubility parameters of the blends of ABS with other polymers were obtained. To obtain the best result, one needs to separate solubility parameter into three components: dispersive δ d , dipolar δ p , and hydrogen bonding δ h . The thermal, mechanical, and rheological, morphological characteristics and weathering as well as miscellaneous properties are reviewed.
