Roadway Visibility as a Function of Light Source Color

Abstract

The growing use of new roadway light sources has raised questions about the possible superiority of one source over another. The questions concern the particular color characteristics of a source and its effect on visibility. The results of an experiment designed to examine these questions are the subject of this paper.
