Ion-Clearing System of UVSOR Storage Ring

Abstract

An ion-clearing system consisting of DC and RF electrodes was installed to cure an ion-trapping effect in the UVSOR, a 600-MeV electron storage ring. In experimental studies of their effectiveness, it was found that the simultaneous use of both electrodes is essential for clearing ions.
