Modified suspended striplines for microwave integrated circuits

Abstract

Suspended coupled striplines have very different even- and odd-mode phase velocities. A structure modified by the presence of a slot is proposed to obtain equalisation, a condition necessary to build broadband couplers. This modification has the advantage of preserving the suspended configuration.
