Human Cervico-Ocular Reflex in the Presence of a Visual Stimulus

Abstract

Of the three principal oculomotor reflexes, the cervico-ocular (COR), i.e., neck-eye reflex has the least effect in the normal adult. Measurement of the COR has been defined only in isolation from the other reflexes. Here it is shown that the COR exists in the presence of a visual stimulus, but that its gain is small-so small as to argue against considering the COR as being functionally significant in the normal adult.
