Living Donor Kidney Transplantation: The Effects of Donor Age and Gender on Short- and Long-Term Outcomes

Abstract

These results support the continued use of older male and female living donors who meet carefully constructed medical criteria and who are highly motivated to donate. Furthermore, donor age seems to be a more important predictor of graft loss than donor sex.
