Driving the 21st century's lights

Abstract

This paper discusses the adoption of using LED-based lamps as compared with the incandescent lamps. LED lamps contain an assortment of highly engineered components. The generic example shown here includes an array of white-light LEDs and the electronic circuitry to drive them, all packaged in a compact screw-in unit.
