The correction of a measured directional correlation function for the finite angular resolution of the radiation detectors (scintillation counters) has been investigated experimentally in the case of the ${\mathrm{Ni}}^{60}$ $\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ cascade. The results show that the correction factors depend upon the pulse-height selection. The significance of this result for precision measurements is discussed.
