The role of nitric oxide in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia

Abstract

Circulating levels of nitrite are decreased in patients with preeclampsia. These data support the concept that diminished nitric oxide synthesis contributes to the pathophysiologic changes seen in preeclampsia.
