A 21-year-old man developed left-sided headaches before the skin lesions of Degos disease appeared. After an insidious 4-month decline in intellectual, social, and motor function, he had a subarachnoid hemorrhage attributed to the vasculopathic changes of Degos disease. Cerebral angiography revealed alternating areas of narrowing and ectasia in distal intracranial arterial branches, causing a “beaded” appearance that may also be seen in other conditions.
