Treatment of menopausal keratoconjunctivitis sicca with topical oestradiol

Abstract

Our study demonstrates that topical oestrogen is successful in treating keratoconjunctivitis sicca while it seems that the blood-eye barrier prevents systemic oestrogens from acting on the conjunctivae.
