Cognitive Markers Preceding Alzheimer's Dementia in the Healthy Oldest Old

Abstract

Alzheimer's disease has a preclinical stage in which verbal memory decline is the earliest sign. Dementia in the oldest old is distinguishable from age-related cognitive decline.
