Bromoacetates of the compositions Al(OOCCH2Br)3, AlBr(OOCCH2Br)2, FeCl(OOCCH2Br)2, FeCl2(OOCCH2Br) and Cu(OOCCH2Br)2 and M(OOCCH2Br)3·B, M(OOCCH2Br)2·2B, MBr(OOCCH2Br)2·B, MCl(OOCCH2Br)2·2B, MCl2(OOCCH2Br)·B. (M═Al(III), Fe(III), Cu(II) and B ═ C5H5N, (C2H5)2NH, (C2H5)3N and NH2C6H4F have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, infrared, reflectance, NMR spectral and magnetic susceptibility studies.
