Abstract

SUMMARY To summarize, it is found that the human cornea thins approximately 7% throughout the waking hours in air. Assuming the corneal constants given by Gullstrand for his schematic eye No. 1, a 7% decrease in corneal thickness would represent a decrease of only 0·00385 diopters in the refractive power of the human cornea.
