The electron-phonon coupling of a series of aromatic molecules is calculated on the same basis as for the alkali-doped fullerites and graphite intercalation compounds. It is shown to be inversely proportional to the number of $\ensuremath{\pi}$ bonded atoms, the effect of curvature being less important. The implication of these results for the superconductivity of the corresponding molecular crystals is discussed.
