Abstract

Dual plasmonic metallic nanostructures in organic solar cells are demonstrated by simultaneously incorporating gold nanoparticles (NPs) into the active layer and fabricating the silver nanograting electrode by means of a vacuum-assisted nanoimprinting method. Apart from the waveguide modes and diffraction, hybridized surface plasmonic resonances (SPRs, from the Ag nanograting) and localized plasmonic resonances (LPRs, from the Au NPs) are simultaneously introduced to successfully achieve a high power conversion efficiency (PCE).
