Abstract

Radiation therapy has a role in the treatment of patients with tracheal malignancy, either as postoperative adjuvant therapy or as sole therapy for those who refuse surgery or have medically inoperable disease. Alternative methods for increasing the local administration of radiation therapy, such as endotracheal brachytherapy, should be investigated for improvement in local control.
