Abstract

The heat capacity of lutetium has been measured from 6 to 300°K. The results differ from a previous measurement in this temperature range by more than the accuracies of the measurements. The difference is discussed in terms of impurity effects. The thermodynamic functions are tabulated for the temperature range studied.
