Long‐term infusion of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) improves renal blood flow and glomerular filtration rate in clinical acute renal failure

Abstract

ANP infusion improves RBF and GFR in patients with acute renal impairment after cardiac surgery. This renal vasodilatory effect is maintained during a long-term infusion and seems to be hemodynamically safe.
