Electrochemical oxidation of Schiff bases derived from 2‐hydroxy‐3‐methoxybenzaldehyde and various primary amines was investigated at a glassy carbon electrode in acetonitrile. On cyclic voltammetry all the compounds exhibited two anodic peaks below 1.5V vs. SCE. Controlled potential electrolysis of the Schiff bases at the potential of the first peaks gave cation radical salts from ring‐coupled dimers. Possible sequences of the formation of the radical salts are discussed.
