Abstract

Abstract Synthesis of 4‐hydroxy‐2‐oxazolidinone derivatives was accomplished from the reaction of α‐hydroxy ketones with isocyanates in the presence of a catalytic amount of a tin alkoxide. The reactions proceeded under mild conditions and are highly atom economical.
