Elevated Plasma Membrane Cholesterol Content Alters Macrophage Signaling and Function

Abstract

These findings indicate that increased membrane cholesterol causes dramatic effects on macrophage cellular functions related to the actin cytoskeleton. They should provide new insights into the early steps of atherogenesis.
