A high- T c superconducting phase ( T c (end)>100 K) in Bi, Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O glass-ceramics was prepared by conventional melt-quenching and annealing techniques. No crystalline phase could be detected in the as-quenched specimens, but annealing for crystallization was necessary to observe the superconducting transition. This report investigates the appropriate amount of PbO in the starting materials for observing the high- T c phase and crystallization process. The highest T c (onset) and T c (end) were 120 K and 102 K, respectively.
