Low Temperature Magnetic Resistivity in a Dense Kondo Substance: Ce<sub><i>x</i></sub>La<sub>1-<i>x</i></sub>Cu<sub>6</sub>

Abstract

We have measured the low temperature electrical resistivity down to 18 mK in a dense Kondo substance Ce x La 1- x Cu 6 . The dilute Kondo impurity state is found to exist below x =0.1–0.2 in Ce x La 1- x Cu 6 , whereas the Kondo lattice is formed above x =0.8. The n-value in the resistivity of ρ m =ρ m0 + A T n in CeCu 6 is highly anisotropic with respect to the current direction; n=2.01, 1.71 and 2.07 for J // a -, b - and c -axes, respectively.
