Conventional Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) interpretation is widely applied to the profiles of neurologic patients, despite the test's psychiatric-based interpretative norms and inclusion of items that appear to be descriptive of neurologic dysfunction. This study used 75 closed-head-trauma (CHT) patients to examine the impact of neurologic-symptom items on MMPI-2 profiles.
