Hemorrhagic Transformation After Fibrinolysis With Tissue Plasminogen Activator

Abstract

This study demonstrates that in this rat thromboembolic model of stroke, tPA-induced hemorrhage is dependent on blood pressure and that pharmacological reduction of hypertension during fibrinolysis can reduce the risk of hemorrhagic transformation.
