Abstract

Abstract We report a male infant with intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) with alopecia, microcephaly, receding forehead and chin, large eyes, and large prominent nose. Roentgenographic examination showed platyspondyly, “dysplasia” of pelvis, elongated clavicles, and enlargement of proximal femora, clearly separating this condition from all presently known types of microcephalic IUGR.
