Abstract The application of halide-bridged mixed-valence Cu(I)–Cu(II) coordination polymers with hexamethylenedithiocarbamate (Hm-dtc) ligand as sensitizing materials for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) with poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) tetramethacrylate (PEDOT-TMA) counter electrode is novel. DSSCs having coordination polymers in comparison with a mononuclear Cu(Hm-dtc)2 complex exhibited better power conversion efficiency because of the high photocurrent density.
