Abstract We report a convenient solid‐phase synthesis and characterisation of a new class of glycosylated porphyrins bearing the RGD tripeptide, designed for photodynamic cancer therapy. The photocytotoxicities of these compounds against the K562 leukemia cell line are also presented and compared to the effect of Photofrin II ® . (© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
